Terms of Service

Effective October 14, 2026

By booking a rental with Coastal Tote Rentals ("we," "us," "our"), you ("you," the customer) agree to these terms.

1. Service area

We deliver and pick up within Northeast Ohio, within about 50 miles of Avon Lake, OH (zip 44012). We may decline bookings for addresses outside this area.

2. Rental packs

The rental period begins on the agreed delivery date and ends on the agreed pickup date. Totes that are not returned or made available for pickup by the end of the paid period are billed at the additional-week rate until they are returned.

3. Payment

Payment is collected in full when you book, through Stripe. By booking, you also agree to Stripe's terms for the payment method you use. Applicable sales tax is calculated and collected automatically. Your payment method is kept on file for the charges described in section 5.

4. Delivery and pickup

Delivery and pickup within our service area are included at no extra charge. Please provide a safe, accessible place for drop-off and pickup. If you are not available at the scheduled pickup time, we will reschedule once at no charge. If the totes are kept beyond the paid period as a result, the additional-week rate applies.

5. Care of the totes

The totes remain the property of Coastal Tote Rentals. You agree to:

• use them only for packing and moving or storing your belongings;
• keep them reasonably clean and undamaged;
• not sublet, resell, or give them to anyone else.

Loss or damage: if a tote is not returned, or comes back damaged beyond normal wear, we charge $25 per affected tote to the payment method on file, in addition to the rental price.

6. Cancelling and rescheduling

Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled delivery for a full refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours before delivery are not refundable. Rescheduling is free with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability.

7. Right to refuse service

We may decline or cancel a booking, for example for an address outside our service area, a safety concern, or suspected misuse. If we cancel, you receive a full refund.

8. Your belongings

We are not responsible for the items you place in the totes. You are responsible for packing your belongings appropriately and for any loss of, or damage to, items stored in them.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Coastal Tote Rentals is operated by its owners as an unincorporated business.
